Kelly Zhang is a Chinese Canadian children’s book author, Chinese/English bidirectional translator, and co-editor of the World Kid Lit blog. Her writing and translations have appeared in Words Without Borders, the New York Times for Kids (China), Sine Theta Magazine, Read Paper Republic, Paddler Press, and Journey Planet. Her latest book translations include middle-grade novel Tilted Sky by Yao Emei and picture book Grandma’s Roof Garden by Tang Wei (Levine Querido 2024). She authored the picture book Take Me to Lăolao (HarperCollins 2024), and is probably dreaming up more Chinese mythology-inspired tales as we speak.
