The boy enjoys simple pleasures: watching the rain fall and the sunrise, playing with mimosas along the walkways, inhaling the fresh scent after the rain, and feeding fish in the canals. He loves gazing at the moon at night and the clouds during the day and constantly craves chicken rice and kaya toast.
Through his eyes, the boy shares his Singapore story with a deep sense of love and belonging. His observations reflect the experiences of many children growing up in this peaceful nation today, similar to the older generation reminiscing about their old Kampong lives.
