Shinsuke Yoshitake

Shinsuke Yoshitake (Japan)

Shinsuke was born in Japan in 1973 and creates inventively humorous and lively illustrations. His unique and surprising take on everyday life has captured the imagination of readers everywhere. His debut work, It Might Be an Apple, has been translated into 10 languages. In addition to winning many awards in Japan, his picture book Still Stuck won the Bologna Ragazzi award 2017.

Eriko Shima

Moderator Eriko Shima (Japan)

Eriko works in a university helping students who are learning together from different backgrounds and cultures. Before that, she used to work in a museum and made some educational programs for school children. Her team has also conceptualised and executed inclusive programs for the visually impaired. Her graduate work included field studies and research on wildlife ecology and conservation.
