22—25 May 2025

Children today are more exposed to desserts that they can easily get from cafes, bakeries and even supermarkets. They are not only able to identify  desserts such as cakes and cupcakes, doughnuts, jellies, brownies and macaroons to name a few. Books that feature Malay kuih give  preschool children the opportunity to discover these traditional  delicacies. Children will be able to know and identify these traditional foods as they get opportunities to explore not only the physical characteristics, but also the process of making traditional kuih.
