In this session, find out how libraries make 'Stories Come Alive' by transforming traditional reading spaces into interactive storytelling environments, combining technology, hands-on experiences, and creative storytelling techniques to cultivate a love for reading in children and enhance their engagement with Chinese children's books.

翁玲月 (Lynn Ang) (Singapore)

翁玲月女士是新加坡国家图书馆管理局馆藏规划与发展部门的高级图书馆员。她领导一支图书馆员团队,负责挑选公共图书馆的华文儿童馆藏,为读者提供多样丰富的阅读资源。此外,她还积极参与规划和举办促进母语阅读的活动。

Lynn Ang is a Senior Librarian with the Collection & Planning Development (Chinese Language) department in National Library Board (NLB). She leads a team of librarians in the selection and development of Chinese children's collection in the Public Libraries, providing readers with a diverse and enriching array of reading resources. She is also involved in planning and execution of initiatives aimed at promoting the love for reading in Mother Tongue Languages.

曾惠君是台湾台中市立图书馆馆长。她致力于架构台中阅读蓝图,认为阅读力就是城市的竞争力,提供全年龄读者优质阅读环境与服务,型塑台中市立图书馆持续成为与人为本、促进交流、结合社会参与的阅读推动场域。

Hui-Chun Tseng is the Director of Taichung Public Library in Taiwan. She is dedicated to developing Taichung's reading blueprint, believing that strong reading skills enhance the city's competitiveness. Through the creation of high-quality reading environments and services for readers of all ages, she is shaping Taichung Public Library into a people-oriented reading platform that fosters communication and social participation.
