Dalam bengkel ini, peserta akan meneroka cara-cara untuk menulis semula cerita rakyat Melayu dengan sentuhan moden. Melalui teknik penulisan yang kreatif, mereka akan belajar bagaimana mengekalkan elemen penting dari cerita asal sambil mencipta versi yang segar dan menarik.

In this workshop, participants will explore ways to retell Malay folktales with a modern twist that emphasises positivity, problem-solving, and inspiration. Through creative writing techniques, they will learn how to maintain essential elements of the original stories while crafting fresh and motivational versions.

Nur Khairiah Binte Mohd Amin

Nur Khairiah Binte Mohd Amin (Singapore)

Nur Khairiah is a distinguished author, multidisciplinary artist, and educator with over 20 years in Malay Language education and a decade of writing experience. Her works, published in Singapore and Malaysia, include children's picture books, young adult novels, educational comics, and short fiction anthologies in English and Malay. Notably, her Malay picture book Batu Belah Batu Bertangkup is listed among the 50 Best Malaysian Titles for International Rights in 2024. She has received multiple awards for her contributions to blogging, children's literature, and poetry competitions. As the founder of Widz Studio, she merges visual arts into innovative content creation.
