Led by Bangalore-based library educator and researcher Thejaswi Shivanand, this Tamil language session explores a diverse range of Indian children's literature for engaging young readers.  Participants in this workshop will discover practical activities embedded within Indian children's storybooks for adaptation in their classrooms or libraries.

Thejaswi Shivanand (India)

Thejaswi Shivanand is an educator, independent researcher and education consultant. He works at Champaca Bookstore and Library in Bangalore as a curator for books for adults and children, and as an educator who interacts with children and adults in the library to support the growth of communities of readers. He consults with organizations across India that work in school and undergraduate education, children's literature and libraries, while teaching in professional development programmes in the library space. He has conceptualized and developed professional development programmes for rural school and community libraries in south and east India.
