Can I Teach Science Through Kamishibai?
WorkshopLouisa Ong
How can we teach science or even any other topic to pre-schoolers instead of using books? How do we engage them to want to discover more?
Many schools in Japan, India, USA, South America and Europe have started to use Kamishibai (the Japanese art of paper theatre/storytelling) in their classrooms to engage students from preschool to elementary levels. This has been used as a tool for teaching many subjects. This interactive workshop will guide participants to embark on a journey of creating Kamishibai cards from a topic effectively. And the best part is, you don’t have to be an artist to do this.
