Resonance of Harmony Through Sound: A Celebration of SKIS Student Performances

This performance is the result of SKIS students' CA (Creative Activities) music classes. Though not professional training, these lessons offer joyful experiences in Korean traditional and choral music, encouraging collaboration and cultural appreciation among students.
Yeongnam Samulnori Rhythm (10 min)

Samulnori is a traditional Korean percussion performance using four instruments: kkwaenggwari (small gong), jing (large gong), janggu (hourglass drum), and buk (barrel drum).  It delivers lively rhythms and joyful energy that captivate audiences. Experience the vibrant beat and traditional flair of Korea through this powerful performance.


 


The World I Dream Of (5 min)

The K-Children’s Choir sings together with gentle choreography, expressing harmony, friendship, and hope through soft lyrics and beautiful harmonies. This song conveys the pure wishes and dreams of children through a bright, uplifting melody.



Love Song (Excerpt from Chunhyangga) (8 min)

Pansori is a Korean traditional vocal art form that combines dramatic storytelling and rhythmic drumming, performed by a singer (sorikkun) and drummer (gosu). This excerpt from Chunhyangga presents the heartfelt love story of Chunhyang and Mongryong through expressive song.
