Duelling Illustrators – Live! brings two talented illustrators on stage for a friendly face-off as they draw live in response to a story being read. Our illustrators must think on their feet and let their imaginations run wild — all while coping with pressure of a live audience as they bring their own interpretations of the story to life.

David Liew
David Liew, an illustrator of children’s books, also crafts miniature worlds. Formerly a junior college teacher, he transitioned to professional illustration. His works include series like "Ellie Belly," "The Plano Adventures," and "Change Makers." Liew instructs Picture Book illustration at the National Institute of Early Childhood Education and teaches art at Republic Polytechnic. He serves as Regional Advisor for the Singapore Chapter of the Society of Children’s Books and Illustrators.
Evelyn Ghozalli (Indonesia)
Evelyn Ghozalli has illustrated more than 80 children’s stories and written several under the pseudonym EorG, and has won several awards, including the Samsung KidsTime Award 2016, Best Illustrator Award at the Islamic Book Fair 2018 and the Indonesia Art Award 2018. She is also the founder of the Indonesian Children’s Book Illustrators Circle (KELIR).
