How can AI meaningfully support Hanzi learning in early childhood?
This interactive workshop explores practical ways teachers and parents can use AI tools to enhance Chinese character literacy, with a focus on preschool contexts and school transition. Through live demonstrations and hands-on activities, participants will discover how AI can generate stories, design engaging activities, and support differentiated learning — while preserving the cultural depth and imagination embedded in Hanzi.

Wang Bingjie (Singapore)
Bingjie is a Chinese Language Specialist at PCF Sparkletots Preschool in Singapore, where she focuses on curriculum design and teacher professional development in early childhood education. She is also pursuing her Doctor of Education at Teesside University (UK). A certified Advanced Bilingual Picture Book Reading Instructor, she has led workshops on children’s literature, storytelling, and multilingual education at national platforms such as the National Library Board and AFCC. Passionate about picture books and digital innovations, she explores how AI can support mother tongue learning and enrich children’s reading experiences.
