For the first time in Singapore, we will showcase 18 award-winning works from the prestigious 2026 Nami Concours Illustration Competition

About the Exhibition

Since 2013, the Nami Island International Picture Book Illustration Concours (NAMI CONCOURS) has served as a global gateway for artistic discovery. As an official sponsor of the Hans Christian Andersen Award, Nami Island provides a global platform for artists worldwide to showcase unique visions and push the boundaries of picture book art.

The concours welcomes artists of all backgrounds. With no thematic restrictions, it encourages absolute creative freedom. Guided by five core principles—empathy, universality, creativity, diversity, and inspiration—an international jury carefully selects works that redefine the potential of picture books.

NAMI CONCOURS began in 2013 with participants from 42 countries and has grown significantly with each edition. In 2026, nearly 2,000 artists from 90 countries are taking part, cementing its status as one of the world’s three leading international illustration contests. It continues to support illustrators’ creative journeys and serves as a central hub for global picture book culture.

AFCC is proud to feature 18 award-winning works from the prestigious 2026 Nami Concours Illustration Competition  in this special showcase.
