வெற்றியின் பின்னால் ஓடும் கனவு நாயகன் சின்னா, இயற்கையின் மடியில் அமைதி தேடும் டேனியல் – இவர்கள்தான் அந்த இரு சிறுவயதுத் தோழர்கள். எதிர்பாராத விதமாக, மூழ்கிக்கொண்டிருக்கும் ஒரு மணல் திட்டியில் (sandbar) இவர்கள் இருவரும் சிக்கிக்கொள்கிறார்கள். அங்கே, முற்றிலும் மாறுபட்ட குணங்களைக் கொண்ட இவர்களின் இரு உலகங்களும் ஒன்றோடொன்று மோதிக்கொள்கின்றன.
