Book Illustrators Gallery 2015

23 May – 11 June 2015, 10am – 9pm
NLB Central Public Library (B1)

The Book Illustrators Gallery (BIG) aims to showcase the works of local and regional illustrators and artists — across genres and borders — and promote them to a wider audience.

This year, close to 150 submissions came in from neighbouring countries like Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, and Hong Kong, as well as from the Middle East, including Iran, Afghanistan, Israel. Entries were also received from India, Lithuania, Australia, Russia and United Kingdom.

The curators of this year’s BIG are: Dr Tony See, who lectures at National University of Singapore and author/illustrator Susanna Goho-Quek, whose picture books include God Is Hu? and Fun at the Opera.

Come to the BIG Opening Ceremony on 23 May 2015 in Central Public Library. Details here.
We are honored to have Venka Purushothaman as Guest of Honor for the BIG Opening Ceremony.
