Joanna Maneckji (Singapore)

Joanna Maneckji, a Singapore-based author, educator, and artist, crafts captivating collages that defy expectations, evoke joy, and foster empathy. Starting with a meditative outlet when her son began walking, she later used collage to navigate grief after her father’s passing, resulting in her debut storybook, Letters to My Grandfather. Raised in a multicultural environment in Mumbai, Joanna pursued anthropology at Smith College and holds a master’s degree in teaching.
