23–26 May 2024

The AFCC Circle is an initiative by the Asian Festival of Children's Content (AFCC) with the goal of developing a literary network across Southeast Asia (SEA). It seeks to promote and enhance cross-cultural collaborations among literary and publishing organisations within the children's book industry, while fostering exchanges among writers, translators, illustrators and publishers in the SEA region. The AFCC Circle is co-organised by the Singapore Book Council (SBC) in partnership with a local organisation in each participating country.

AFCC Circle Philippines (15 - 17 November 2023)

The AFCC Circle Philippines is a conference, targeted at educators and librarians, which focuses on exploring strategies in building children’s literacy competencies and developing them into readers. In line with the National Reading Program, it will offer a series of talks and workshops by experts and practitioners in the field of early childhood education to provide insights on nurturing a lifelong love of reading in children.

The inaugural edition of the AFCC Circle Philippines took place from 15 - 17 November 2023 in Manila, Philippines with the theme of "Read!".

AFCC Circle Philippines is organised by the Vibal Foundation, in partnership with the Singapore Book Council (SBC), the National Book Development Board (NBDB), the Department of Education, National Library of the Philippines, International Board on Books for Young People - Philippines (IBBY-PH) and the Filipinas Heritage Library.
