Kamishibai (“paper play”) is a Japanese street storytelling form which marries moving images with lively storytelling. Once a popular art form, it is enjoying a revival across the world. Renowned writer and illustrator Satoshi Kitamura will introduce the history of this artform, followed by a performance using his own unique kamishibai creations.
