The Noisiest Tree: A Multilingual Storytelling Session (Storytelling)

Evelyn Wong

For children of ages 5 to 8, parents and teachers.

When an adventurous mynah and her family move into the banyan tree, neighbours complain they are noisy. Little Mynah sets out to understand what noisy means, and opens the ears of a young boy to the music of friendship.

The Noisiest Tree is an interactive multilingual storytelling session performed by children, mainly in English with a harmony of Mandarin, Malay and Tamil. It was first performed in TranslateSingapore.  Get a bird's eye view of Singapore's cultural diversity as you help Little Mynah translate, and make some noise!
