Chang Tzu-chang 張子樟 (Writer, Translator, Editor, Commentator, Reading Promoter) Teng Qian Xi 邓倩兮 (Writer, Translator and Educator)
As our world becomes more globalised, translation is of paramount importance for authors and illustrators to reach out to foreign markets across the world. Join Prof Chang Tzu-chang, translator of Matilda by Roald Dahl, The Tiger Rising by Kate Dicamillo and Starry River of the Sky by Grace Lin, as he discusses the necessity of translations in children’s literature. Singaporean poet Teng Qian Xi will also share her experiences in translating children’s stories, and compare the differences between translating children’s fiction and poetry.
