Now Executive Director of the Myanmar Book Aid and Preservation Foundation, Dr. Thant has been active in modernizing and revitalizing libraries. He is also on the Executive Committee of the Daw Khin Kyi Foundation chaired by Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, working to operate mobile libraries across the country. For his extensive work, Dr. Thant has received international fellowships and awards.
