Mariko Nagai

Born in Tokyo, Japan and raised in Europe and America, Mariko Nagai has received fellowships from the Rockefeller Foundation Bellagio Center, UNESCO-Aschberg Bursaries for the Arts, Akademie Schloss Solitude, among others for her writing. Mariko has written two books for adults, Histories of Bodies: Poems , and Georgic: Stories. Her debut novel for middle grade readers, Dust of Eden, explores a Japanese American girl's experience in internment camps during WWII. Mariko Nagai is an Associate Professor at Temple University Japan.
