Cathy Hirano

Cathy Hirano is a Japanese-to-English translator in such fields as sociology, art and architecture. She has translated picture books and seven young adult novels. Her translations of The Friends and Moribito I won the Mildred L. Batchelder Award in 1997 and 2009, respectively, while Moribito II earned the Batchelder Honor Award in 2010.
