Lisa Yun

Educator

Lisa Yun is Associate Professor of English and Asian and Asian American Studies, and steering member of the Institute for Asia and Asian Diasporas at Binghamton University in New York. She received her B.A. from Yale and PhD from University of Texas. She teaches Asian American and Asian diasporic studies, comparative race/ethnic studies, and community engagement. She is the author of The Coolie Speaks: Chinese Indentured Laborers and African Slaves in Cuba (which was designated Choice Outstanding Academic Book 2008). She lives in New York, with her husband, and two children who are avid readers.
