Asian Festival of Children’s Content (AFCC)
The National Book Development Council of Singapore has been organising the highly popular Asian Children’s Writers & Illustrators Conference for the past ten years. Leveraging on the success of this event and in partnership with The Arts House, AFCC has emerged as a very popular professional and trade event since 2010. AFCC’s deliberations will impact 1.5 billion children in Asia and their parents the professionals and businesses involved in their development.
AFCC offers a unique occasion for participants to meet, interact, network and find common ground and business opportunities with the entire community of children’s content creators. It is a great place for writers with good content to meet their publishers and producers in all formats and take it to the appropriate consumers both in the region and worldwide
Objectives
Asian Festival of Children’s Content 2010
AFCC 2010 was held from 6 to 9 May at The Arts House. The inaugural festival drew the attention of content creators and producers to this vast opportunity. AFCC 2010 also showcased content already available, and promoted new materials that have been produced and published. This benefited writers, illustrators, parents, teachers, librarians and children in Asia and in other parts of the world.
AFCC 2010 attracted 442 participants from 12 countries.

Highlights of AFCC 2011
AFCC 2011 was highly successful with attendance of 608 conference participants from 23 countries.
The Asian Festival of Children’s Content 2012 is bound to break the previous year’s record with the introduction of new awards, a country focus, specialized language workshops and a greater reach to communities in Asia.
